The Jose Vera Santos Memorial Herbarium is currently hiring student assistants. Tasks and responsibilities include the following:

 

Herbarium specimen mounting:  Work will involve mounting the pressed and dried plant specimens onto mounting sheets. A wide range of plant families are yet to be mounted.

 

Herbarium restoration: Assist with the restoration and conservation of plant specimens. Bulk of the work involves cleaning, scanning, and shelving the plant specimens to their respective cabinets. 

 

Database expansion: Student assistants will compile information and encode data entries of these plant specimens. This will enrich the herbarium's plant database.

 

Library work: Provide assistance by creating a list of journals, books, magazines and gazettes present in the library.
