How can I have a plant identified?

Different species are distinguished based on their unique combination of morphological characteristics. Details of the plant's leaves, stem, bark, flowers and fruits serve as clues in identification. It is therefore important that the specimen brought represents at least the range of leaves and flowers/fruits. A sample may be taken if the plant is large. For better storage, this must be pressed/flattened and dried. Other useful information include the place of collection and the plant's common name.
